Marc de Chalain
Unfortunately we have very sad news for you today. Marc de Chalain – our very dear friend from South Africa, whose fantastic photos have previously graced our “Heart in Africa” wall calendar – passed away from Covid19.
We are shocked and stunned. Our thoughts are with Stella and the two girls.
On these days we also remember our time together in Nambia even more intensively and what we experienced and said is as vivid as if it was only yesterday.
Marc will be missed – as a great person, as a very loving husband and father and also as a fantastic talented photographer with passion.
In the last weeks we were in close contact with Marc and Stella and the design of our “Heart in Africa” wall calendar 2022 was in full flow. With the death of Marc, however, we were then no longer sure whether we should still produce the calendar this year.
Stella assured us it would have been in Marc’s mind to continue this joint project for the children of Africa and so we will finish the calendar – it will be a special edition.
Marc has left a legacy and we wish that we can commemorate it a bit with our 2022 Africa Calendar and that all of his photos will guide us through a good, healthy 2022.
