With how much pride and joy you mastered the first trip?
For some of you, it was probably a special moment in your childhood that you will carry in your heart forever. And it is precisely these lasting moments of happiness that we want to create with this campaign for the children of the Nice View Children's Village.
"Bicycles make dreams on wheels for kids."
Initiative
Having their own bike is also a big wish for the children at Nice View. For them, it means freedom, adventure and is a big step towards independence. It enables them to cover longer distances on their own, ride to the village, play sports, explore the surrounding area on their own, make friends,…
A few children have already benefited from the support of sponsors their own bicycles. However, we would be delighted if every child at Nice View could pedal HIS or HER bike with shining eyes and are therefore launching the “Every child has their own bike” campaign. An initiative that fits in wonderfully with spring 😀 and we hope that we can get you and many others on board.
We are collecting donations so that we can buy bicycles for the children in Kenya. A good, robust bicycle that will accompany the children for many years costs around 250 euros, even in Kenya.
Why no used bikes from Europe?
Transportation
The transportation of goods and therefore also bicycles to Kenya is very expensive and would not be proportionate.
Maintenance
Bicycles in Kenya have to withstand a lot. Bicycles that are not in perfect condition are constantly being repaired.
Community Support
By buying the bikes locally, we also support the local community and people in the village. We also have a contact point for repairs, etc.

Our aim is to make as many children as possible happy and of course we would be delighted to receive sponsorship for “whole” bikes.
However, 250 euros is a lot of money and so you can also contribute part of the bike:
a bell for 25 euros
a saddle for 50 euros
handlebars for 100 euros
or bikes for 150 euros
And if everyone reading this now contributes a bell,
then we will definitely reach our goal 😉
